Changes to Panshanger Booking Procedure from 1st June 2010
After checking through the booking records, it is clear that a large number of pre-booked tee times are being unused by Members, Finesse Card Holders & Pay and Play Golfers. Another common theme was the amount of tee times being used by 2 players in high demand tee times, which creates a speed difference out on the course and limiting the amount of space available for all players.
These two factors mean that golfers believe the course is fully booked when the reality is completely different.
The Booking Card
All players, excluding current Members & Finesse Card Holders, will be asked to fill out a welcome card. The player will then be given a booking card which must be used each time they book in advance and when sign in at Panshanger on the day.
Once a player has a card they will be treated on the 3 Strike Policy for advance bookings. This will apply to all players.
7am – 10am on Weekends & Bank Holidays
§ A minimum of 3 players must be booked for a tee time between 7am & 10am on the Weekends & Bank Holidays: No exceptions.
§ If members fail to fill a tee time with the appropriate player numbers, it will be the named player who will be penalised on our 3 Strike Policy.
General Booking Conditions
§ Members can only book one tee time in their own name.
If more than one tee time is needed, you may use another members name but it will be that named player’s responsibility to make sure the tee time has the appropriate player numbers or cancelled in the appropriate time*.
§ If members fail to show up for a booking, the named player will be penalised on the 3 Strike Policy.
"3 Strike" Policy:
This will apply over the next 6 months from the first offence date.
Members will be treated on a 3 strike policy for unused or mis-used tee times.
§ Strike 1 – Mentioned at time of your next booking via Reception Team.
§ Strike 2 – A written letter will be sent confirming the 2 relevant tee times and warning about a 3rd offence.
§ Strike 3 – A letter and phone call confirming removal of your advance booking privileges for 3 Months and your reinstatement date.
Cancellation Policy
If you cannot attend your tee time, please call our Reception Team and inform us. If you give us 48 hours notice, no strike will be made.
If you cannot give us 48 hours notice, every effort will be made to re-sell your tee time. If this is possible, no strike will be made.
If less than 48 hours notice is given and we fail to re-sell your tee time or you fail to show on the day, a strike will be added to the MRM account of the named player.
The weather can not be used as an excuse for no-shows unless we close the course due to unplayable conditions.
