Stanborough Park Environmental Project The
Stanborough Park Environmental Project developed a range of measures to make
the most of the ecological and leisure potential of Stanborough Park. The Project
was a collaboration between Welwyn Hatfield Council and the Department of Environmental
Sciences at the University of Hertfordshire, with input also from the Herts
and Middlesex Wildlife Trust.
One of the aims of the Project was to provide extra information about the Park,
its habitats and wildlife. Follow the links below to find out much more about
the river Lea, lakes, trees and the nature reserve, including the reed marsh.
The Stanborough Park Environmental Project ran from 2000 to 2003. The information
on this web site was compiled by Lara Roberts, John Elvy, Candice Luper and
Stuart Warrington, with assistance from Janet Dickinson. Most of the photographs
were taken by John Elvy.
